To be brutally blunt we are all FAKE... (but we care)
You see the image at the top, I specifically placed this here as a contradiction, almost seeming on the edge of becoming sarcastic irony. Pause.... take a glance, what do you notice? Yes, correct there are well polished feet and hands as well as the flower. But what about those itsy bitsy tineenie tiny words across its midsection. People are mean they will hurt you even if you think that they won't. In this instance WE are the fools, they play us as if to be a game that energizes themselves. They lower ourself esteem. Do they care no... I feel that if I connect with you on a more personal level then perhaps you will understand . I used to be made fun of throughout my years of elementry to sixth grade and partially throughout my middle school years and in my freshman year. I attended a public elementry school, I was signifigantly larger than the other students, I was heavy, along with great height. Was I a beautiful lily, No. I would have offered anything I could have in order to become popular. I was not a mean person, but people were mean to me. I would be talked about to other girls and popular boys. Especially the boy I had a crush on for five years of my life. Notes would be stuck on my back with sayings such as this "You Loser you are fat and ugly", "you need to lose some weight", "Fugly" etc.. During gym class I was pants several times (in front of the boys too), at lunch people would throw food at me and say things along the lines of you need more to eat, I think she's still hungry, oh but thats not a she thats an animal. For no apparent reason what so ever people demanded my humility while they gained their laughter (in spite of my sorrow). I am not embarrassed to express my humiliation, it is a part of life that we must all deal with. Further more I do appreciate the people who have put me down in the past becasue it has helped me to learn and understand how to be a better person. (not just to myself but to others as well) I am not saying to be thankful for having been bullied or taunted, rather to embrace the challenge and proceed through life, as if nothing occured. It builds your character and provides a more stable mentality after the fact that you realized that you are better than that. The only thing that would matter is your own preception of yourself. To conclude this thought you are the feet we are the hands of the world reach out to people lend your hand (metaphorically speaking can help them, listen to them, give efficient advice etc.) People who were or are bullies this can also be applied to you, it is not only for vitimized people. Please take this with you, this thought, these emotions you may have and contemplate on them. Be the change you wish to see in the world , continue to walk on the path to life. .... We do not live a cookie cutter lifestyle.
